How soon can I expect to get behind the wheel?I am a firm believer in getting students behind the wheel during the first lesson. This lesson will start with setting the car up to suit the driver before progressing on to the controls and how to operate them. Once an understanding of this is shown, we will progress to moving away and stopping, using the forward gears and the brake.

How old must I be to apply for my provisional driving licence?You can apply for a provisional driving licence when you are 15 years and 9 months old. You can start driving a car when you are 17 years old. You can drive a car when you are 16 years old if you get, or have applied for, the enhanced rate of the mobility component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP).

How many hours driving do I need to become 'test ready'?According to the DVSA, 'There's no minimum number of lessons you must have or hours you must practise driving. How many lessons you need will depend on how quickly you learn.'
